Doctor Day in Math Class

Tuesday was DOCTOR DAY in Mrs. Gonzalez’s 4th grade classroom! Our student surgeons put their math skills to work as they diagnosed patients and performed “incisions” by decomposing numbers using the Distributive Property.

Then came the most important part… stitching the patients back together! Students solved the smaller problems and combined their answers to find the final product.

Who knew surgery could be so much fun?!
